Blooming a sparse Limb

6+ months of indecision. Two days to actually make one. I decided to start off doing the masterclasses and am excited and at the same time, maybe concerned. I am curious how in depth the classes are. Taking into account all the celebrity “teachers”. You obviously get the experience and most assuredly the opinions. But how deep do they go?

Putting that concern aside, I am really very excited to eventually take the Neil Gaiman class. As I have already stated in so many words. I really have no idea what to expect. I have been a fan of his stories since I was a kid. I have seen so many interviews with him. Watched him speak in forums and lectures. I know he is an actual teacher as well. I know how clever and creative he is. Not only in his stories. But in how he speaks and communicates his point of view. This for me is the main reason why I am such a huge fan of the Author, on top of being a fan of his stories. And there lies the dangling shoe. There is just a small scratching at the back of my decrepit lizard brain. That “what if” I can never shake from voicing an opinion. “Could this MasterClass be just like one of his real life classes? Or would it be just a light dusting of what he ‘truly’ has to offer.” I mean, this is NEIL GAIMAN! My normal brain actually finds it hard to believe that he would do something like masterclass and hold back the kind of knowledge that he has acquired in life. Let alone any of the other’s on here teaching. He holds himself as a very genuine and honest person. Why would he hold back? Why would any of them? I don’t know. This is just me being me. Hoping for the best and expecting the worst. I am sure these classes are going to be incredible. Why do I do this to myself? “Stay positive, and don’t worry so much.”

Depending on how good the editing classes are… I do have another unrelated concern… What if I randomly start taking other classes that have nothing to do with writing? I kind of get obsessive with things I automatically enjoy…

What I wouldn’t give to take a class taught by Jack Nicholson on writing. That would be so badass! Did you know he is a talented writer? As well as George Carlin, and Lenny Bruce. For anything else than to just see both Lenny & George’s thought process organization work.

Damn. There are so many great writers on MasterClass! … holy crap, Judy Blume is on here too?! … HOLY CRAP!
