Winter Mourning a Summer Knight

During the seconds between dawn and dusk,
a moment hums a weeping trust.

Two souls lost by love and pain. Neither felt the other’s blame.

Violent pasts on opposite poles, pulled together by dyad folds.

Confronted shame on both they tried. Failing by hate’s due tide.

Empathic fear and torment scorn, these two embrace twin hearts well worn.

No conflict tainted gains it ground, for power they bind each other’s crown.

Forever equal. Each apart. They duel the battle, for love and art.

(Dedicated to the heart that never got the chance to see the day we both dreamed of. You are not forgotten.)
