You saw what?

Ever experience a moment of “supernatural” occurrence? Something that defies reason. A thing that makes you question reality or sanity.

Be it a moment of loosing something you literally remember placing down not 30 seconds ago. Or, seeing your refrigerator float a foot off the floor and then slowly move into the living room right in front of the tv. Maybe seeing the silhouette of a human figure walk into the form of a small bear. Be it a rational explanation or someone else thinking you’re nuts. These stories are everywhere.

Haunted houses, possessed people and animals, cursed objects and places, ghosts, spirits, monsters, fairies, etc… We got’em all. Well, the stories. We even have TV shows up the butt claiming they are real or fake. Just no “definitive” (public) scientific proof.

Are we so technologically advanced as to disregard and shun the past? Yeah, some of the folklore most likely (maybe) is made up. But what if it has some truth. What if. Can we honestly be so bold to think that trying to measure something in this plane of existence can be quantified if it exists only in another plane? I’ve never seen a lizard person. How could I possibly think they don’t exist if I have never left my own hometown? Could it be just a right place, wrong time sort of thing? Just because they make movies about fake haunted houses doesn’t mean there aren’t real ones out there, does it?

We need to get our hands on some ghost machines. Or get some spirit inventor to make one. Wouldn’t that be a hoot. Ghosts that think humans aren’t real. For all we know, ghosts could be regular humans that exist in a parallel dimension. Is our imagination shaping our reality?

This is where belief tends to extend beyond reason; into faith. Not completely reserved for religion mind you. There is a difference between scientific faith and spiritual faith. Basically speaking in a general term, it is a way of thinking. Telekinesis for example is right on the fence post of scientific/supernatural fact. The individual decides whether or not it is real or if it is a big fat load of mumbo-jumbo. Demon evil magic powers, or magnetic polarity/gravitation manipulation. You are the one that decides in the end if you believe.

That being said where do zombies fall on this scale of believability? Scientifically speaking, zombies are real. We can witness it in nature. Can it be that much of a stretch to think that it could happen to a human? Haitian culture has this fact locked down tight.

Just because we haven’t seen “it” and documented “it” yet, does not mean that “it” has never happened, or does not exsist. From here, we can go further and further until the stories become very hard to believe in. Vampires, werewolves, trolls, dragons, unicorns, etc…

Just remember one crucial concrete observation that one must truly understand. Whether you believe or not in this kind of stuff.

“You don’t know what you don’t know.”

Personally I think the fridge just wanted to watch cartoons.
